“There is no objective reality to “space” : the is no universally sequential phenomenon of time; there is no solidity to “matter” ; and even “energy” is an aggregate phenomenon. Everything we think “exists” is merely the result of the universe experiencing itself. And we are simply part of that. The really weird part is that the universe also has memory. It even has-as a result of life-reflexive short-term memory.”
It is natural for us to think that time flows, somewhat like water: always trickling downhill, never to return. But the reality is different. Time and space grow, but neither ‘flows’. The thing that ‘flows’ is experience: it is a process with a definite sequence, and we can’t go back and revisit any part of that sequence. What has been experienced remains experienced. The Greek philosopher Heraclitus wrote, around 1500 years ago, “No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it is not the same river and he is not the same man.”
