SUMMER’S PEAK

On the twenty-first day of June summer officially arrives,
Affecting most everyone with its positive vibes.
July comes next and then summer peaks in many ways,
A temperamental month filled with hot and humid days.

The sun reaches its northern limit on the twenty-first of June,
July seems to hold it in abeyance from leaving too soon.
It’s filled with long summer days and short nights,
Evenings are full of outdoor activities attracting mosquito bites.

It’s the month of summer vacations with campgrounds full,
