One must resist perceiving one’s thoughts and ideas as unique and personal property; there is nothing original about our thoughts; they are ubiquitous. They are part of our collective consciousness. Differences might occur because of how they have been phrased or culturally interpreted, but all this is up for debate. Here the ego usually stands in the way of a sensible outcome.
